    We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for a Summer Intern (May 2020 - August 2020) to join our Data Analysis team in Rockleigh, NJ.


    Crestron’s IT Software Development team is looking for an intern with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The intern will play an active role in analyzing complex business process, data, and identify key metrics and information that can be collected and visualized. The intern will be actively engaged with business users to communicate in clear terms the findings of the analysis they were task to perform in order to provide quality decision making capabilities in the organization.



    • Assist Lead Data Analyst with:
      • The collection of new data and the refinement of existing data source
      • Developing best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to product engineering teams
    • Collaborate with business users and team to understand and document their goals and objectives to identify measurable key results
    • Generate insights connecting analytical results with business problems or objectives
    • Utilize predictive modeling and statistical analysis to determine analytical approaches and evaluate scenarios as well as potential future outcomes
    • Present and provide recommendations to internal teams and stakeholders
    • Troubleshoot issues in existing applications


    General Requirements

    • Must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a bachelors degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, or a closely related field.
    • Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the entire internship period beginning in late May 2020 and ending in early-mid August 2020
    • Must be commutable to and from the Rockleigh, NJ area for the duration of the co-op period

    Technical Skills

    • Required:
      • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, in particular Publisher, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
      • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
      • Familiarity with utilizing REST API operations
    • Preferred:  
      • Knowledge or practice of Agile Development Methodologies
      • Knowledge of Data Modeling
      • Knowledge of ETL / ELT Process
      • Knowledge of Cloud Computing (Azure Preferred)
      • Knowledge of Data Visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau)
      • Knowledge of R or Python, or related data processing languages
      • Knowledge of Statistical and Data Mining Techniques
      • Knowledge of C#
