    Overview

    We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for a Summer Intern (May 2020 - August 2020) to join our Engineering Services team in Rockleigh, NJ.

     

    We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Mechanical Engineer Intern to support the Engineering Services Department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build a career in Control Systems/Consumer Electronics in a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
    • Prepare engineering related calculations, develop CAD drawings and prototypes
    • Assist with the mechanical design of Control Systems/Consumer Electronics
    • Work under supervision of the Mentor
    • Working knowledge of ProE a plus.
    • Special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    General Requirements

    • Must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a bachelors degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Design.
    • Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the entire internship period beginning in late May 2020 and ending in early-mid August 2020
    • Must be commutable to and from the Rockleigh, NJ area for the duration of the co-op period

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, in particular Publisher, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
    • Knowledge and proficiency in CAD programs:
      • Pro-E/Creo knowledge strongly preferred
      • If no Pro-E/Creo experience, Solidworks is acceptable

    Other Skills:

    • Must be responsible, self-motivated, creative, have a solid work ethic and have a desire to produce a quality product
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate work at different levels of the organization
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Inquisitive individual with a "student mentality" possessing a long term desire to work in the Human Resources space
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
    • Positive, personable, and able to work cohesively with other across various divisions
