    Overview

     

    Crestron Electronics has a very exciting role for a Regional Sales Manager, targeting the Education Market. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast growing organization.

     

    In this role, you will actively participate in the sales, design, quotation, submittal and order closing process in a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.  This role will be based out of the Chicago area.  

     

    Territories include but are not limited to: ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, IL, WI, MO

    We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Regional Sales Manager to support Sales & Marketing and build business relationships for the organization.  In this role, you will support new and existing business development in a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.

    We will look for you to showcase your intuitive interpersonal skills, outstanding organization skills, and proven leadership to build and maintain pipelines, handle project conversion, and provide support on an ongoing basis.

     

    Responsibilities

    • The candidate will be responsible to identify and develop opportunities, collaborate with the sales team to provide solutions, drive business back to the re-seller channel and assist in closing the sale
    • This position requires the ability to hunt into new accounts, develop and maintain business within existing accounts and manage complex sales situations and large projects
    • Business forecasting, pipeline development and management skills are required
    • Must develop an executive annual plan for new business development and growth of existing accounts in line with the company strategy 
    • Candidate will be required to Develop business relationships with all levels of management within the College, University, and Select High School Districts, and train end users on technology products that will advance the development of market solutions. 
    • Strong technical background will be essential to developing accounts and selling project-based, hardware and/or software systems solutions.

    Qualifications

    • College/University degree preferred
    • Self-motivated with a proven track record of sales to corporate IT
    • 5+ years Audio Visual experience in a technical capacity
    • Able to communicate effectively with consultants and engineers
    • Working knowledge of Crestron's products and software. Knowledge of procurement policies, information technologies procurement needs, and facilities management within a large organization will be important as you will be demonstrating our products to potential clients
