    Overview

    As a leader within the Technology and Product Management Team you will join a tightly knit and high performing group of industry veterans shepherding complex and highly integrated products to market.


    As a Unified Communications Technical Product Manager here at Crestron, you will work closely with the Technology Manager, and Product Managers to drive the development of enterprise grade workplace solutions that seamlessly integrate audio and video conferencing, wireless collaboration and presentation, and digital signage from concept through release in a dynamic, creative, and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include managing the “last-mile” push to ship new products, by working with QE department to help them create effective test plans and improve testing efficiency, managing customer support issues escalated to engineering, acting as a technical resource for high-level sales demos and presentations, and contributing to the development and quality of training materials and product documentation.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as product solutions expert
    • Manage technical issues escalated to engineering
    • Help define use cases for use by the QE group
    • Work with production to improve test plans
    • Tracks product failure trends in tandem with production and drive engineering teams toward solutions.
    • Present the software, hardware, and integrated solutions virtually or in-person (as required)
    • Participate in industry tradeshows and other key market events.
    • Contribute to the training department’s development for all related coursework
    • Keep abreast of competitive landscape and technology trends
    • Use industry knowledge in conjunction with competitive research to help the product management team craft tomorrow's product roadmap

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Proficiency with, and knowledge of, unified communications solutions from major providers such as Microsoft (Skype/Teams), Zoom, BlueJeans, and Cisco WebEx.
    • Proficiency with, and knowledge of, enterprise technologies including wireless collaboration and presentation, digital signage, and related software, management tools, and services.
    • Real-world, hands-on experience with designing, administering and supporting modern workplace solutions.
    • Broad understanding of Ethernet networking technologies and protocols as they pertain to unified communications deployments (SIP, SIMPLE, QoS, VXML, XMPP, Jabber, H.264/265) and AV/IT systems integration.
    • Expert level competency in multiple technologies and proficient at isolating problems in complex systems.
    • Experience in short, high-throughput product development cycles preferred. Experience managing and collaborating with OEM/ODMs and partner development highly desirable.
    • Self-starter with proven ability to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects. Be able to research and become an expert on new technologies relevant to the product line.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to lead team meetings, set expectations, and hold people accountable for delivering the expected product
    • Team player with visible company spirit. Demonstrable ability to quickly gain the trust of key stakeholders, end-users, and co-workers alike.
    • Ability to be hands-on and travel occasionally to job sites to see how our products are getting installed/applied and be able to translate that experience into a better product.


    Ideal Experience & Education:

    • Engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of product development experience.
    • minimum 3 years of product management experience preferred
    • Microsoft MCSE and/or Cisco CCNA certifications highly desirable.
