    This position is working on an Rework Operator on 2nd shift. the rework operator will be responsible for ensuring that the defective components are replaced and/or installed correctly on to a PCBA using commonly used concepts, processes and procedures. Rework Operators utilize and  incorporate a wide variety of components including but not limited to, resistors, capacitors, IC’s, inductors, and connectors of various kinds, utilizing their hands and hand tools including  various kinds of solder irons as required.

    Responsibilities

    • Read, interpret and follow written work instructions or procedures to accurately remove and install SMT and Through Hole components.
    • Utilize hand tools such as pliers, cutters, Soldering iron, and other job specific tooling as required by departmental SOP
    • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
    • Being able to hand solder SMT components, remove and replace through-hole components without damaging board.
    • Able to follow ECN instructions, component schematics, and work instructions.
    • Perform quality work checks to insure board meets IPC-610 requirements.
    • Able to use microscope or magnifier to examine boards/panels for soldering if necessary.
    • Ability to repair a variety of electronic circuit boards.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S
    • Perform other duties /projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 1 year Soldering certification/previous soldering experience preferred
    • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of Electro-Mechanical assembly desired
    • BGA rework experience a plus.
    • Highly skilled in soldering through-hole and surface mount components
    • Must be able to work within a small range of motion as the instrument has many small components where soldering and rework is necessary.
    • Knowledge of components identification is required.
    • Ability to work often with others in a team environment
    • Able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written in English
    • Must have sound comprehension skills in English
    • Need to be organized and detail oriented.
    • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required
