    Perform a wide range of environmental and reliability tests on various NPI and Finished Goods products and parts to determine weak points and potential design flaws.  Properly document the test and results within Crestron’s structured report format.  Support the laboratory engineering team in the analysis of product issues as discovered during testing or field use.


    Training: Crestron will provide training on the proper use of the wide range of test equipment required to perform this role.  The right candidate will be comfortable using complex scientific equipment and learning a variety of new skills and processes.


    • Working with the lab engineering team, participate in a variety of advanced reliability and environmental testing, including: drop, vibration, shock, thermal & humidity, force, impact, electrostatic discharge, lifecycle testing, and many more.
    • Confer with the engineering team in the department regarding testing procedures/processes
    • Follow required procedures to setup and/or provide basic maintenance on test equipment
    • Test functional performance of products, sub-assemblies and parts under specified conditions
    • Conduct small-scale projects including equipment procurement, onboarding, and maintenance
    • Construct basic test apparatus and fixtures to simulate real world installation/use
    • Work with basic wiring to provide power to test samples
    • Read displays and test data that indicate testing status and results
    • Record test data and digital images of test samples
    • Document test results in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner using Crestron’s Laboratory Test Report (LTR) structured format.
    • Other related duties as assigned by manager


    • Associate of Science degree in an electronics, or technical field, or equivalent work experience
    • At least 4 - 8 years of work experience in a technical or engineering environment
    • Strong interest in testing products for quality and performance
    • Basic proficiency with MS Excel and Word
    • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision on critical projects
    • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment
    • Effectively communicate and read/write in English
