    Overview

    The Quality Engineering team is seeking a Manager, Quality Engineering to join and manage Quality Engineering providing leadership, planning and organization.  This Manager is responsible for managing, developing and supporting the Quality Engineers, their test processes, test improvements, test methodologies and championing building a high quality product delivery mindset across the development team. 

    This role will sit out of our state of the art R&D facility in our World HQ in Rockleigh, NJ 07647

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage professional staff of approximately 8 QE test engineers
    • Collaborate to develop QE goals and objectives.
    • Value and promote defect finding culture.
    • Guide the test development design and implementation process.
    • Help develop and enforce software-firmware/test development standards.
    • Resource scheduling and planning to support QE objectives.
    • Develop strategic QE plans, task, and report status/progress weekly.
    • Counsel employees on career growth and performance.
    • Provide process improvement recommendations.
    • Champion continuous improvement with a goal to gain higher organizational efficiency and product quality.
    • Define, maintain, measure and present “Quality Metrics” regularly.
    • Special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a Bachelor in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required, Masters is a plus
    • A minimum of 12 years of Quality Engineering / System Test experience in telecommunications and test automation is required
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Development Manager or Team Lead managing teams of at least 6-10 testers is required
    • Thorough understanding of test processes and test methodologies including knowledge and experience with test automation, concepts, theories, practices and procedures along with commitment to product excellence and quality is required
    • Experience in providing and presenting project status reports through the development cycle and knowledge of full life cycle of the R&D development process is preferred
    • Ability to build, manage motivate and inspire a diverse and geographically dispersed (on-site, off-site, off-shore) technical team is required
    • Knowledge of Automation Tools like QTP and Selenium and experience with Agile software development methodologies is a preferred
    • Experience with defect tracking systems, test management systems and software revision control is required
    • Excellent team player with a consistently positive attitude and collaborative approach to problem solving, options analysis and continuous improvement of process, team and systems.
    • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems is required. Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures is preferred
    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple large scale projects.
    • Team oriented; strong interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional written and verbal skills.
