    Overview

    Crestron is looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Production Manager, Second Shift (5PM - 1:30AM) to oversee the operation of several production lines in our high-tech manufacturing facility in Cresskill NJ. This position requires a strong leadership background and the ability to coordinate the efforts of many workers in a complex, high tech factory. A successful candidate will be driven for success and be ready to face any challenge that arises. Must have exceptional communication skills and be able to represent his or her department to other groups. Knowledge of  PCBA manufacturing, production management, production planning, bills of material and inventory management will be essential. Strong computer skill, especially with enterprise management systems such as SAP and with Microsoft Excel, will be a benefit.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the delivery and quality of all Engineering and Production work orders
    • Oversee all aspects of Prototype, Engineering and Production builds including but not limited to:
      • Assembly of PCBA’s
      • Adherence to IPC standards
      • Acceptable Solder techniques
      • SMT component identification
      • Testing of PCBA’s
      • Providing feedback on new designs for manufacturability
      • Implementing Engineering Change Orders
      • In-process Quality Control
      • Meeting Key Performance Indicator metrics 

    Develop methods to ensure production capacity, efficiency and overall process control is in place that meets or exceeds specifications.

    • Work closely with the Planning, Supply Chain, Project Management , Manufacturing Engineering, and development Engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured on-time and with the highest level of quality control.
    • Implement a comprehensive root cause, corrective and preventative action plan
    • Coach, mentor and lead highly dynamic team members to help achieve the requirements of this position as well as the individual career goals of team members.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel across the Enterprise
    • Coordinate ECN and prototype build activities and feedback issues to employees, members of management and engineering
    • Monitor performance of SMT equipment to meet a very demanding schedule and build plan

    Qualifications

    Candidate must be a positive, optimistic, confident individual with an emphasis on leadership by example. Must be able to forge relationships with internal and external organizations and earn their respect. The candidate must have a high energy level, but able to focus that energy into mentoring, training and enhancing the skills and knowledge of the organization. Specific educational and experience requirements include:

    • BS Business Management or BS Industrial Engineering required
    • Minimum 2 year’s SMT experience in a manufacturing role required
    • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience required
    • Strong Enterprise Resource Planning skills such as SAP required
    • Manufacturing Execution System skills such as Aegis preferred
    • Must be Familiar with Lean  manufacturing principles (one piece flow, 5S, etc).
    • Demonstrated Familiarity with IPC quality standards.
    • Good computer skills-(Excel,Word,) SAP experience preferred or CRM experience
    • Highly motivated with excellent people skills, in very diverse production environment
    • Moderate to High level of technical competence in areas of manufacturing technologies, employee management, continuous improvement technologies, problem solving, and quality systems
    • Must be available to work 2nd shift (5:00 pm to 1:30 am)
