    Overview

    We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for a CO-OP Intern (Fall 2018) to join our Software Development Tools team in Plano, Texas.

     

    The Software Development Engineering Intern will support the Software Tools Department’s Toolbox group. In this role, you will design, write and automate test cases for testing software tools, perform troubleshooting and debugging of test failures. We will look for you to show case your problem solving skills and attention to detail to assure quality and stability in our software products prior to deployment.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and implement test frameworks that help engineers develop, test, debug and release software tools.
    • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plan and test cases.
    • Execute test plan manually and automate test cases for regression testing.
    • Create, maintain and update automation test scripts and device test setup.
    • Evaluate system performance of software tools.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
    • Coursework or experience in scripting language, preferably with PowerShell or Python
    • Coursework or experience in one or more programming language such C#, C++
    • Understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols like TCP/IP, UDP etc.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Able to multi-task effectively
    • Quick learner, methodical and detail-oriented with desire to seek perfection
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work independently as well as within a team
