    Overview

    Crestron is looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Field Service Engineer within our Commercial Lighting department.  This is a great time to join a growing organization. 

    We are seeking a polished, professional Field Service Engineer to support our Lighting customers and projects within the New York City area.   

    We will look for you to showcase your intuitive interpersonal skills, outstanding technical abilities, and proven drive to move projects through to completion.

    Responsibilities

    • Commissioning lighting control systems within assigned territory
    • Work closely with electrical contractor to insure installation and wiring meet Crestron requirements
    • Perform load and test programming 
    • Troubleshooting and problem resolution
    • Travel up to 70% within assigned territory

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 3 years working in a commercial environment with an understanding of electricity is required
    • Basic Crestron Programming knowledge is required
    • The ability to explain detailed load schedules with panel terminations and system risers with detailed wiring instructions is required.
    • The ability to help a contractor understand how the lighting control systems are installed and operate, is also required  
    • Ability to work with Engineers, Architects and Lighting designers to ensure the commissioned system meets specifications
    • Project management, time management, and organizational skills to set realistic goals and meet deadlines is required
    • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
    • Travel up to 70% within assigned territory is required
