    Overview

    Crestron Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer. This individual will work on projects to document new circuit board assembly procedures and day to day resolution of PCB board production issues. This includes creation of high level work instructions, programming of automated assembly equipment, assist in the training of production personnel and operators. Work with new circuit board designs to asses and improve manufacturability.

    This position will start in our Cresskill, NJ location and later transfer to our Orangeburg, NY location.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical support to the PC board production operation
    • Create and maintain process documents related to PCB assembly processes and equipment
    • Manage design change updates through work instructions documentation
    • Develop and maintain assembly aids and fixtures for production use
    • Recommend engineering changes to products to affect process and quality improvement
    • Identify process bottlenecks and work with the production teams to eliminate them
    • Work with equipment manufacturers to identify and select new equipment and methods
    • Work closely with QC to identify and resolve material and vendor related issues
    • Utilize CAD based applications to provide analysis and resolution of PCB related assembly issues
    • Program specialized process equipment to support PCB production
    • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
    • Other Duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering required
    • Experience in PCB assembly or electronics products manufacturing required
    • Proven problem solver with technical decision making skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of CAD
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is a must
    • Ability to adapt and learn in a fast paced environment
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
