    The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will play a key role in creating and maintaining product and supplier quality. The SQE is responsible for implementing and upholding the Supplier Quality management system processes by addressing quality issues in a reactive and proactive approach; improving the supplier’s ongoing contributions relative to quality and cost, and ensuring systems and processes are in place to meet Crestron requirements, ISO and best industry standards.


    The SQE will seek to understand issues causing disruption in the assembly facility and undertake actions with suppliers to ensure complete RCCA analysis and SCAR’s are completed, and FMEA’s, SOP’s, SIP’s and all appropriate Six Sigma methodologies are in place to mitigate variation in the supplier’s processes, warranty and customer returns, and manufacturing schedule disruptions or failures.


    The SQE will be accountable for the overall quality of suppliers, supplier quality systems, PPM, and deliverable's – resulting in a seamless supply to Crestron and its customers.


    • Work with new and existing suppliers to develop, implement, maintain, and drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance through utilization of tools such as Six Sigma MSA’s, SPC’s, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, 8D RCCA Analysis and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
    • Review, analyze and close production and customer complaints, manufacturing variance requests, and first article inspections by judging risk analyses and justifications, determining corrective and preventative actions at suppliers, and looking for opportunities with suppliers to eliminate reoccurrences.
    • Performing regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development based on quality control plans.
    • Review Build to Print drawings and provide technical feedback to Design Engineering and Product Engineering, ensuring the proper application of GD&T, manufacturability of the product, and inspect-ability of the material.
    • Work effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams to eliminate any barriers that may affect the quality and delivery of sourced components and apply knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques to provide timely data usable for informed decision-making.
    • Manage the supply chain, serve as the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements, and collaborate with other engineers in a team environment.


    • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in supplier quality operations for a production/manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of electronics product manufacturing and development.
    • Candidate must also be able to demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions -- a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.
    • Experience in manufacturing processes related to plastic injection molding and welding, metal milling, stamping and extruded fabrication, SMT and printed circuit board assembly and final finish good process assembly
    • Proficient understanding of CAPA, design verification and validation, and process verification and validation.
    • Possess excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision making skills required with thorough working knowledge of Quality systems methods and practices (APQP, PPAP, DOE, PFMEA,  Control Plans, Lean Manufacturing concepts, DMAIC,  Root Cause Analysis, etc.).
