The Payroll and HRIS Administrator has the responsibility of bi-weekly maintenance of time keeping data and exporting to ADP Payroll system for pay calculation. Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll and monthly commission payroll processing for 1800 U.S and Canadian employees using ADP Enterprise Version 5 (EV5) payroll system. Incumbent is also responsible for routine data maintenance such as direct deposit set up and third party sick pay. Assists Manager on conducting tax audits and correcting wages and taxes by adjusting paychecks for accurate reporting. Incumbent needs to have great knowledge of laws related to processing payroll including understanding of Wage and Hour, FLSA and administering the federal, state and local tax withholding and setting up of garnishments as ordered by the courts and authorities. Responsibilities include the ability to research laws on taxation and other compliance requirements and escalate issues to Manager when necessary. Incumbent needs to have a clear understanding of Benefits and Compensation offerings to the point they relate to Payroll. Handles all inquiries on HR phone line and dedicated mailbox.
