    Overview

    Crestron Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Quality Control Team Lead at our new distribution center located near DFW Airport in Euless, Texas. 

     

    The Incoming Quality Control Team Lead will provide leadership and oversee all aspects of the Incoming Quality Control program and all of its inspection facets. This role will lead an IQC inspection team and assist them in the identification and evaluation of proper criteria and parameters essential for a high standard of quality inspection. The IQC Team Lead will report to the Director, Supplier Quality Engineering and will work closely with the Supplier Quality Engineering team. This is a highly visible position that will require attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees across the company.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for promoting and ensuring that the Incoming Quality Control (IQC) department employees are prioritizing safety above all else, following all company safety policies, rules and practices and contributing to a safe working environment
    • Lead and plan IQC’s daily schedule ensuring deadlines and commitments are met and sustained
    • Train and mentor the IQC team as required. Training should include but not be limited to procedures, work instructions, quality documentation, and provide inspection tools needed by IQC
    • Serve as the resident knowledge expert for all incoming, in-process and final inspections performed by the IQC team.  This includes understanding how inspections are being performed, at what frequency, and where and how data is collected and stored.  The IQC Team Lead must be able to perform all inspections personally
    • Directly monitor departmental efficiencies including but not limited to incoming inspection, languishing of materials in various locations (i.e. QCH & RTV), MRB dispositioning efforts and audits
    • Utilize statistical tools as needed with an emphasis on driving and improving quality

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum of three years of experience within a quality related role
    • Must have a minimum of two years of experience within a QA/QC leadership (team lead) role
    • Excellent English written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent relevant experience
    • General familiarity with finished goods inspection and out of box auditing

    • Solid understanding of receiving inspection processes including sampling, measurement techniques, have the ability to read and understand assembly drawings, and Engineering Change Notices for the purpose of specific inspection criteria and evaluation.

    • Proficient with a personal computer and selected software (Microsoft Outlook email, Word, Excel, etc.)

    • Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and be detailed oriented

    • Excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision making skills required. Strong mentoring, team building, and counseling skills required

    • ASQ certifications preferred but not required
