    We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities, as a result, we have exciting opportunities for a Sr. Firmware Engineer to join our Engineering team in Rockleigh, NJ 07647 

     

    Crestron’s firmware team is looking for a talented and self-motivated engineer with strong embedded system knowledge and firmware development experience who can apply his/her expertise in embedded system's firmware design, development, and support for our next generation systems and products.  As a member of the firmware development team, your daily activities will include the full life-cycle of design, develop, modify, test, debug, and support the new as well as the existing firmware for all our products

    Responsibilities

    • Work on complete life cycle of projects:
      • Read and comment on requirements
      • Develop architecture in conjunction with other team members
      • Write specifications and unit tests
      • Develop software
      • Perform unit tests
      • Work with Quality and Verification Engineering to test
      • Triage and Fix Bugs
      • Provide documentation related to the project
    • Provide status reports
    • Assist other engineers and mentor junior engineers
    • Provide technical support as needed
    • Special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required 
    • 10 years of proven experience developing and debugging applications in a Linux based embedded system is required
    • Strong C or C++ programming skills is required
    • Knowledge of TCP/IP, multithreading and general IPC is required.
    • Strong understanding of HTTP, web servers, REST and MVC is required
    • Must be able to work with HTML and JavaScript frameworks.

     The following additional skills are a plus

    • Experience with Angular JS
    • Experience with Web Sockets
    • Experience with Android and Windows CE OS
    • Experience with SSL and PKI
