We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for an Intern to join our Quality Engineering team in Plano, Texas.


The Device Driver group at Crestron is responsible for helping to integrate third party products such as Amazon Echo, Nest Thermostats and a host of other consumer electronics devices from well-known manufacturers like Samsung and Sony. This position will assist the  group with its build and release preparation.


As part of the engineering team you will be exposed to full lifecycle of software development but your main area of responsibilities will be preparing release builds for testing and ensuring product quality by executing tests utilizing a number of methodologies. We will look for you to showcase your problem-solving skills and attention to detail, to ensure quality and stability in our software products prior to deployment.





  • Create and execute system tests to ensure package quality using a variety of test methods
  • Setup test systems using third party products
  • Work with team to validate system test plans and results
  • Document and research issues discovered
  • Contribute to the driver automation
  • We will look for you to show case your problem-solving skills and attention to detail, to ensure quality and stability in our drivers



  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Coursework or experience in one or more object oriented programming language such Java, C#, C++
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols like TCP/IP, UDP etc.
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio
  • Ability to create, read and understand test cases
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to prioritize tasks successfully
  • Quick learner, methodical and detail-oriented with desire to seek perfection
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team
