We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for an Intern (Summer 2018) to join our Quality Engineering team in Orangeburg, New York.


The Statistical Quality Intern will play a key role in improving, creating, and maintaining product and supplier quality. They will be responsible in supporting Supplier Quality Engineering by data collecting and interpreting numerical data from various internal sources and apply statistical methodology. Additionally, they will conduct process surveillance audits to evaluate procedural adherence, documents findings, and provide statistical summary of collected data. These will help to improve the supplier’s ongoing contributions relative to quality and cost, ensure systems and processes are in place to meet Creston requirements.




  • Will develop key Supplier Quality metrics focused on Supplier Performance; Incoming inspection, In-process, and field failure rates
  • Analyzes and report on quality discrepancies related to raw materials, parts, assemblies, and or processes
  • Identify trends, patterns, significant differences and relationships
  • Perform internal audits, GAP analysis, and case record reviews on Incoming Inspection and Supplier Quality Engineering processes – followed by recommending roadmaps aligning priorities and key business process improvement initiatives


  • The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of conviction, who in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity
  • Must have basic familiarity in spreadsheets (report formatting, graphing, and formula a calculation generation)
  • Familiarity with analyzing data, develop charting, Statistical Process Control, and/or six-sigma quality engineering methodologies
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient with a personal computer and highly proficient using MS Office 2010 software applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Minitab or equivalent statistical software
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree from and accredited institution in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics
