We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for an Intern (Summer 2018) to join our Audio Engineering team in Rockleigh, New Jersey.

 

As an Audio Engineering Intern here at Crestron, you will help work on unique audio products from in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced environment. Your activities will include the development of DSP firmware based products, DSP programming, and interfacing with QE, hardware design, and software tools design regarding these products.

Responsibilities

  • Firmware development for audio products and subsystems
  • Write DSP code in C and assembly
  • Implement DSP algorithms
  • Develop code to implement AV receiver audio processing / decoding
  • Work with DSP product development team
  • Engineering support for Electroacoustic products.

Qualifications

  • C / C++ for embedded DSP, and firmware
  • Familiarity with Sharc ADSP-21xxx and similar DSP chips
  • Basic knowledge of DSP sampling, filtering, transforms, and spectral analysis theory
  • Knowledge of acoustic echo cancellers, and noise reduction techniques
  • DSP development systems and IDE
  • Matlab or similar simulation systems

 

 

Experience & Education:

  • Current enrollment in Bachelors or Masters degree program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with a major in Digital Signal Processing, or Audio Engineering. Candidate in Junior or senior year is preffered

  • Interest in DSP firmware product development
  • Knowledge of audio DSP algorithms
  • Familiarity in audio and electroacoustics
