Crestron Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an internship in Software Development.  This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast growing organization.


We are seeking a college student working toward a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree.


This internship is for Summer 2018.


We will look for you to showcase your intuitive interpersonal skills, outstanding organizational abilities, and proven leadership to streamline administrative processes, increase office efficiency, and maximize workflow. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistant to SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
  • Learn about the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), specifically by taking one or more new features of Crestron Studio, and creating unit tests to exercise the code and the APIs to other parts of the software
  • Work with developers to define the interfaces that will be tested in design discussions, as well as interacting with them in daily scrum stand-up meetings
  • Use the software-under-test to create working systems with actual devices
  • The intern will write C# code, residing internal to Crestron Studio, rather than external testing code.

This internship provides a chance to design, write, and test real code, used in a production environment. The intern will develop an appreciation for what it takes to ensure software quality.  


  • Pursuing degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or possibly Electronics Engineering
  • Working knowledge of C# and SQL
  • Works well with others on a team
  • Ability to work through problems in an organized manner

Additional pluses:   

  • Experience in writing code to control devices, either on an embedded platform or through a communications protocol                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              
  • Knowledge of communication protocols, such as TCP or UDP, or knowledge of networking

Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
