We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for a Technical Training Support Engineer to join our Crestron Northwest team in San Rafael, CA.

 

We are looking for someone who has a passion for helping others learn and a commitment to serving as a strong product advocate.

Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitate technical training courses built on Crestron solutions and related topics for external customers, partners and employees
  • Setup and configure classroom hardware & software for hands on technical traininges
  • Design and develop instructor led and/or online solutions for technical training courses
  • Maintain and set up sales/trade show demo equipment
  • Deliver all necessary documents associated with training courses (e.g. feedback and evaluation)
  • Maintain subject matter expertise within the AV industry
  • Research and remain current on various adult learning methods, including instructor skills, course design, learning standards, and evaluation techniques

 
When not in the classroom, this candidate must be able to:

  • Troubleshoot with customers via phone and screen share
  • Visit problematic jobsites as an extension of the Advanced Technical Services Group
  • Mock up proof of concept applications and concisely report results
  • Maintain positive relationships as the primary technical resource for the field sales team

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of  experience within the IT, AV, or technology industry is required OR a minimum of 5 years of experience within the IT, AV, or technology industry is required
  • Experience with programming language constructs in any Integrated Development Environment(IDE)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint 
  • Crestron Certified Programmer is preferred
  • The ability to travel up to 30% is required
