We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for an Intern (Summer 2018) to join our Enterprise Software team in Rockleigh, New Jersey.

 

Crestron has many multi-tenant, micro-service, cloud-based cloud platforms that provide management and provisioning services for Crestron control systems and devices. The setup and delivery of this kind of architecture requires development of automation scripts for deployment of cloud resources, application code and processes outside of the actual application. This is known as DevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scripts to automate various deployment processes
  • Monitor deployments to various environments (development, QE, etc.)
  • Document and validate processes and procedures for code delivery and configuration
  • Perform "smoke tests" on new deployments to verify successful DevOps
  • Contribute toward the improvement and reliability of the DevOps infrastructure

You will become familiar with our cloud provider and how to manage large numbers of cloud resources via the Azure Portal, scripting, and templates.

Qualifications

 

  • Students working toward a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Programming skills in some language
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization and precision in execution of tasks
  • Experience with any kind of cloud technology is a plus
  • Experience with PowerShell and C#.NET is a plus
  • Knowledge of various web technologies such as HTTP and SSL/TLS is a plus
