Crestron Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineering Position.  This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast growing organization. We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Mechanical Engineer to support the Engineering Services Department. In this role, you will design and develop a wide variety of Amplifier, Digital Media, and Control product lines within a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop Products from concept to production, including but not limited to:
    • Amplifier Systems
    • Video Transport Systems
    • AV Control Systems
  • Develop Creative engineering solutions to meet product requirements
  • Develop detailed product design for evaluation and Testing
  • Ongoing improvement to our current product lines
  • Design for manufacturability
  • Collaborate with Cross Functional teams of Electrical, Firmware, and Production Engineering
  • Generate engineering documentation, mechanical drawings, and Bill Of Materials
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide guidance and assist with design validations and Product tests

Qualifications

 

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 7 working years in electronic packaging developing products with Sheet metal, Die cast, and Plastic injection molding
  • 3D CAD experience (Creo/ProE preferred)
  • Ability to integrate Sheet Metal, Injection Molding, Extrusion, complex PCBs, fans and power supplies into products
  • Ability to be creative and solve problems
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Positive professional attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge and experience in designing and managing large scale electronic products such multi-functional card and blade systems with central backplane, cooling, and power supply systems. Knowledge of high-density and/or high-speed interconnects
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic cooling systems using Forced Air and/or Natural Convection
  • Knowledge and experience with standard 19” EIA and 23” Telco style rack mount systems
  • Knowledge and Experience with the telecommunications, audio-visual or television broadcast industry is preferred
