We are seeking a polished, proactive and professional Mechanical Engineer to join iour Corporate Quality organization at our facility in Orangeburg NY, 10962. In this role, you will design and perform destructive tests to ensure that Crestron’s products are robust, dependable and fit for use within their intended application. This includes mechanized drop testing, thermal & humidity, shock, impact, vibration, force, retention, ESD, heat & ventilation, ingress protection and many more.


You will also review select field failure trends to determine cause and participate in the corrective action process. This includes mechanical analysis of the defect and the execuition of various performance and reliability tests in order to simulate conditions that may have caused the customer unit failures.



  • Working as part of the quality test team, conceive, develop, and execute test plans to qualify new & existing products and identify points of concern.
  • Prepare detailed and comprehensive test reports that document the test methodology, specific test parameters, test results, and non-conformances. 
  • Partisipate in FMEA process and corrective action activities.
  • Develop and document procedures for testing the reliability of products, including mechanical, electrical, environmental, functional, applications, HALT & HASS testing.
  • Participate in the selection, deployment, configuration and maintenance of specialized test equipment. 
  • Participate in the analysis and resolution of quality issues that relate to product reliability and/or mechanical failure.
  • Perform tests and mechanical analysis in support of quality engineering activities within the organization. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a challenging mechanical engineering role
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Limited travel up to 10% may be required
