Crestron Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast growing organization.  We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Mechanical Engineer to support the Engineering Services Department. In this role, you will design, develop, and test mechanisms from concept to production within a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture.


We will look for you to showcase your knowledge and experience designing plastic injection molded parts and sheet metal parts, mechanical assemblies, and mechanisms, from conception through production.



  • Develop mechanisms and products from concept to production, including but not limited to:
  • Shade and drape systems
  • Motorized drive components
  • Develop creative engineering solutions to meet product requirements
  • Detail product design for evaluation and testing
  • Ongoing improvement to our current product line
  • Design for manufacturability
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams of Electrical, Firmware, and Production Engineering
  • Generate engineering documentation
  • Assist with validation tests
  • Interpret FEA simulations for design validation
  • Communicate with key suppliers to meet product requirements
  • Assist with project planning to identify key milestones and work estimates
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 working years as a Mechanical Engineer in product development
  • 3D CAD experience (Creo preferred)
  • Injection molding experience utilizing Engineering Plastics
  • Strong understanding of material science
  • Ability to be creative and solve problems
  • Structural simulation experience or willingness to learn (Creo Simulate)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Positive professional attitude
