We continue to experience rapid growth as we invest in resources and create new opportunities; as a result, we have exciting opportunities for a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Lighting team in Rockleigh, NJ 07647.

Responsibilities

Successful applicant will join the new product development team working on hardware development of state of the art Energy Management devices. Devices operate within the larger Crestron eco-system of products and include; networked lighting controls, sensors, energy meters, smart LED drivers, smart thermostats, motorized window treatments and other accessory devices.

  • Interpreting product requirements and creating design specifications
  • Performing high level design of hardware
  • Performing low level schematic design, simulation and prototyping of the hardware
  • Working with PCB designers to lay out circuit boards
  • Developing and conducting verification testing and overseeing compliance testing
  • Working with other disciplines including firmware and mechanical to ensure the best possible product is delivered
  • Support the product as it transitions to production and into the market place
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

The candidate must have:

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with hardware design
  • Experience with power electronics, microcontrollers and analog circuit design
  • Experience with taking products from concept through compliance and production

 

The candidate must demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • The ability to work in a team, coordinating activities with other disciplines and a project manager
  • The ability to work on multiple projects and manage priorities and schedule estimates
  • A desire to be hands-on, working in a lab environment to prototype and verify designs

 

Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
