Overview

Crestron Electronics, has a great opportunity for a Test Engineer that shares the passion about automation while joining a dynamic team in the fastest growing company in his segment.

 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated and professional Electrical Engineer (or similar). You will support the Test Engineering Department with full ownership of Manufacturing Test projects. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering the next generation testing solutions that are suitable for a very fast paced and scalable manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans, test procedures, test platforms and test specifications
  • Provide training to team members
  • Work closely with design engineering to test and debug product features during new product introduction
  • Work with design and QA leadership to develop a test approach and strategy for a product and/or suite of products
  • Understand DFT and provide suggestions to maximize testing effectiveness
  • Be a point of escalation for critical technical issues that occur in production
  • Implement and deploy test solutions at Contract Manufacturers
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters preferred
  • At least 3 years in electronics industry (manufacturing or design)
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical test methodologies and techniques
  • Experience with Audio, Video and/or Lighting controls testing
  • Solid understanding about test manufacturing processes and other process or methodologies in the electronics industry 
  • Familiarity with instrumentation used for functional testing automation (i.e. AC power supplies, electronic loads, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Cross-functional team work experience
  • Software programming proficiency strongly desired (TestStand, LabView, C++ or C)
  • High standards for quality and excellence
  • Ability to travel 15%-20% (within North America)
